Mary Hanna Lawyers became SSI Legal as part of its integration into Settlement Services International. The change reflects the practice’s position within SSI’s national social enterprise model, while continuing its specialist focus on immigration, citizenship and administrative law.
Is the practice still led by Mary Hanna?
Yes. Mary Hanna now leads SSI Legal as Principal Lawyer.
Mary founded and led Mary Hanna Lawyers from 2013 to 2023. Following two years serving as a General Member of the Administrative Review Tribunal, she returned to practice to lead SSI Legal.
As Mary explains:
“After seeing the system from the decision making side, I felt a responsibility to bring that insight back into practice. The migration system has become more complex and less forgiving. That makes careful preparation, strong evidence and clear legal strategy more important than ever.”
